I wonder if some of us, myself included, prefer to avoid html for fear of making it easier to allow malware to enter our systems.
Having said that, I have my Outlook set to show messages in .txt format, and can switch to html if I want that option for some reason. Hi. People do have choices. Unfortunately, as time goes on some of our old favorite programs may cease to work the way we want them to. I know people get a bit passionate about their email programs. Pmmail and the older versions of Eudora still have a following but the truth is they may work less and less well as time goes on. HTML isn't going away. The choice is to read through the extra stuff or use something that won't force you to read the code. Let's have GW use their time to work on WE rather than trying to configure the list software in non-standard ways. ----- Original Message ----- From: "stan littrell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Karyn Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2008 11:05 PM Subject: Re: can the list serv eliminate the html coding? > While I agree with you and Bruce, some may be relegated to using an > old antequated operating system for economic reasons. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Karyn Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2008 8:55 PM > Subject: RE: can the list serv eliminate the html coding? > > >> Ray and all, >> I am against this as well.
