Hello Mike, One of the default scripts provided with 7.0 is called Autocomplete. As you type in fields that provide suggestions, it makes those suggestions accessible. If you wish to temporarily stop or disable the Autocomplete script altogether, follow these steps:
1. Press control-backslash to open the Window-Eyes Control Panel. 2. Press alt-f to pull down the File menu. 3. Press m to pull down the Manage Scripts and Sets menu. 4. Press m again to open the Script Manager. 5. Down arrow to Autocomplete. 6. Press tab until you reach the Show More Options checkbox. 7. Press the space bar to activate this checkbox. 8. Press tab until you reach either Disable or Stop. 9. Press the enter key or the space bar to select the desired option. Disable stops it permanently, while Stop ends it only for the current session. 10. Press Escape to close the Script Manager window. Of course, these procedures can be applied to all other scripts running under Window-Eyes. Rather than remaining silent while I am typing only voicing my keystrokes, it is now also speaking suggestions as to what I may wish to be using. Is this something that I can toggle off, or is something else causing this behavior. I am noticing this on 2 xp home machines -- one using a TripleTalk Internal Card and the other a TripleTalk external. ----- Mike If I walk with the world, I can't walk with God. Dwight L.
