Hello Mike. Rather than disabling the script as Darrell pointed out in
his excellent messages, you can press alt-h while in the script manager
and while focused on this script. The first set of radio buttons allow
you to choose for it to not speak. This way the script is running, but
the automatic completed messages are not spoken. It does take some
getting used to. Actually I have mine set to voice the whole completed
text as when it does I know what is actually been completed. I can then
down arrow and hear the rest of the entire text spoken if there are
other choices.
All in all, it's all about choices, and we give you those.

Point understood and well-taken.
At this point, at least, I find the benefits of this "featured" far
outweighed by the nusiance factor and the mistyping that seem to occur
when I attempt overtyping the voicings.
I try using cut and paste for those unwieldy folder paths you mention.
Ideally, what I would like seeing is the script have a hotkey which would
turn it on at times when the user actually wanted it.
I understand why many users may find this usefuland why it is included in
the default installation.
It is a great visible example right out of the box showing what scripting
can do.
