The CD contains everything you get with the download, plus things like
the mobile install, the WEVideo utility, the MP3 tutorial, and the
manual in CHM, text (individual sections, and a single file), and Daisy
formats. The Daisy manual on the CD is the audio version. The text only
version (as well as a copy of the audio version) are both available on
the Window-Eyes manual page, along with the HTML version --

If you got a CD with the same thing that you can download you would have
to install it over 6.1 or one of the betas. A full copy on the CD
requires no past installs of WE.

They're usually sent out soon after you've downloaded the upgrade. In
fact, if I remember rightly, you get the latest version of the software
instead of just the upgrade.
