Hi, Thanks, I should be getting my laptop soon so I will have to play arround with it some. I wonder why they call it the laptop layout if you still have to use the insert key for moste keystroke?

Matthew,

I too wanted the capslock key as a modifier key for a laptop keyboard,
and was disappointed to see it's not an option (something for us to put
on a request list I guess).

Last night however, while looking at the scripts on script central, I
saw one described as allowing you to use capslock like the insert key.
It may mean that you would have to enter every hotkey combination
yourself, redefining them to use capslock, but looking at this script
does make me think it's possible to do so. It would be a lot more
convenient than the insert key.

Maybe I'll get a chance tonight to look at that script. I'm still stuck
using jaws at work for now, and my laptop is at home anyway.
