Mike,
You can already have an unlimited number of placemarkers. The count you
are referring to is simply for the jump to specific placemarker hotkey.
Meaning you can type 5J and be on placemarker 5. So you can consider
these 9 as very special placemarkers. But you can have an unlimited
number of them.
