I tried the beta of wlm2009 with xp and had the communications platform
thing so couldn't sign in so for me the only choice was stay with the old
version. I won't upgrade to wlm2009 until WE 7.1 comes out.

We are not seeing the crashes you describe, but we are seeing that focus
is changed to the input window a lot more often. Unfortunately this is a
new method of Live Messenger. if you are in the history window and you
press home, end, or some Window-Eyes hot keys, focus is automatically
moved back to the input window.
