One reason for 64Bit is audio editing speeding up significantly, particularly large file processing of one type and another, e.g. normalizing, noise reducing, etc. More ram, more room for actual processing without accessing the slower mechanical hard drive, and then, a complete operating system located in memory, no hard drives at all. etc. etc.

Would you care to tell that to employers who wish their employees to use
a 64-bit operating system? It's not all about people wanting the latest
technology, some people may require it for their livelihood, and saying
"Hey Boss, I'll be able to use the system you want me to use when I can,
and not a moment sooner, so can I have that raise?" isn't going to cut
it.--D.K.
