Dan These days, no one is secure. And, as I told you and others before, I understand where you are coming from. However, you must also understand the other sides of the equation -- other users have concerns which too need to be addressed (and they lobby as hard as you do for their needs) and GWMICRO must have the time first to master the required skills (a daunting task in of itself), then do the necessary writing and developing, and then test their results on actual pc systems users use. Frankly, now that I think about it, I am more and more impressed in just how much the small staff at GWMicro actually gets accomplished given what they have to deal with.
That need to learn is something we often don't think about; and developing the requisite knowledge is a time consuming effort. As I look at things, I am more and more impressed in how much gets done given the working parameters and all of the moving targets. By the time 64-bit comes out, there will be yet a whole bunch of other moving targets that somehow must be addressed; and that how they do get addressed, though perhaps not as quickly as we might like, suggests that GWMicro has its priorities in order even if it fails to meet any of our immediate needs.
