Pointer routed to custom control means it isn't really finding the
cursor. Perhaps other Extra users have ideas.

What do you mean by putty? Is this another terminal immolator
application other than extra?
When I press insert-numpad-+ We voices pointer routed to custom control.
With sighted existence I can press home and the system cursor moves to
the command line as expected. From here I press the arrow just to move
around the screen. My assistant confirms the cursor moves as expected.
However, WE simply continues to voice the top line of the screen over
and over.
Insert-ctrl-c says cursor found yet the above symptoms isn't changed.
I'm very happy with WE in all the other applications I need to use for
my job. This legacy work has become only a small part of my job, yet I
need to resolve this issue.

Hi,
Have you tried to do an ins-numpadplus? I use putty for my terminal
sessions and that seems to fix the issue.

Subject: extra
I'm a mainframe programmer using attachmate extra, windows xp pro, and
WE
7.01.
I'm a recent jaws convert so please be gentle.
When I open an extra session We fails to locate and track the cursor.
When I press ctrl-numpad+ for the cursor location I simply get a beep. I
suspect this means it can't find the cursor.
With sighted help, I'm told when I arrow around the screen the cursor
moves
as expected but WE cannot find it.
I've tried to change the cursor appearance but this doesn't seem to make
a
difference.
What do I need to change?
Please advise.
Thanx,
John Carty
