I'm not an Extra user but a 3270 emulation user, but I do remember that there
were some versions of Extra that did not
work. They were old versions, but corporations often use old versions of 3270
emulation. What version is being used?

WRQ and Attachmate have merged, the maker of Reflection and Extra, and the
latest version of Reflection seems to
work with a bit of work. However, finding a different older version of Extra
might be the best if the version is the
problem.
