Yes this will be fixed in 7.1. Also there currently isn't a way to make the fn function key combinations talk even with scripting unfortunately. Information comes through MSAA that something happened, but no data is supplied. Our OSM also doesn't have this information.

Hi Walt, and Everyone,

I agree with you. It would be neat if all the function keys said what they were for, in the case of the Acer Netbooks. I do know that the F7 is to shut off the Touch Pad Mouse, but this is also a toggle.

Maybe this could be done in a WE script for the Acer Netbooks. I don't know.

I'm still having issues with my loving Netbook and the loving Window-Eyes.

Every time I turn it on, and if I don't do anything for a little while, I find that it wants to go into some kind of hibernation mode, or it goes to sleep, can't be sure which one it is doing. I have to reboot the computer to get it back, as nothing else works. I do believe that this is a real Window-Eyes issue. <smile>

Thanks.

Hi all,

Is there a way to have Window Eyes anounce the function keys. I want to know if the screen is on or off and that is function f6 and it is a toggle.
Thanks,
Walt
