Hi Pat,

Yes the function key f7 is a toggle for the mouse pad. I was hoping there
was a quick way to shut off the vedio but that is not the case.

Yes if you don't use the netbook for a while it goes in to sleep mode.
You can change the setting in the power options in the control panel but it is
actually a good thing. You can when you get the computer back if you select
the my computer or my doccuments it should bring your speech back.

  Hi Walt, and Everyone,

I agree with you. It would be neat if all the function keys said what they
were for, in the case of the Acer Netbooks. I do know that the F7 is to shut
off the Touch Pad Mouse, but this is also a toggle.

Maybe this could be done in a WE script for the Acer Netbooks. I don't know.

I'm still having issues with my loving Netbook and the loving Window-Eyes.

Every time I turn it on, and if I don't do anything for a little while, I
find that it wants to go into some kind of hibernation mode, or it goes to
sleep, can't be sure which one it is doing. I have to reboot the computer to
get it back, as nothing else works. I do believe that this is a real
Window-Eyes issue. <smile>

  Thanks.

  Pat Ferguson

    Hi all,

Is there a way to have Window Eyes anounce the function keys. I want
to know if the screen is on or off and that is function f6 and it is a toggle.
    Thanks,
    Walt
