Well, here I am running XP Pro, with 30 scripts. But I used most of the
scripts under WE7.01, with little trouble. Things like the loss of speech,
when moving too fast around, is something that came up with 7.1beta. Don't
know, if it is in the WE core itself, or if it could be some kind of
conflict, or misbehavior, in some script.
Dectalk, might be a good alternative, for those who have it. From WE7.0,
though, the Dectalk have been removed from (at least some) Non-English
versions of WE. THis means, those of us who are forced to use a WE version,
where Dectalk is no longer included, have no other choice, but using the
Eloquence synth. Well, that is, if we don't happen to have a SAPI voice, or
some kind of external/hardware synthesizer. Instability is werisome. But if
it gets to the point, where you will have to run an older synth, i.e
Dectalk, I do wonder, why include Eloquence at all? Besides, I have been
using other screenreaders with Eloquence dedicaed, and little or no trouble.
Not sure, at the bottom of it all, why Eloquence would be that much more
instable than Dectalk, or other synths, for that matter.

If people don't mind me asking, could everyone reading this thread
respond with whether you're having a lot of stability problems, your OS,
and how many scripts you're running? I've begun to think it's related
to the number of scripts, or at least more likely for those running a
lot.
I am seeing stability issues, for both xp and vista, and I'm running 40
or more scripts.
I also see far fewer issues when I use dec-talk access, as opposed to
when I use eloquence.
