I've been having problems at work with WE clamming up after switching between apps, particularly if I do it too quickly. It doesn't fully crash; it just goes catatonic. It has to be killed and restarted and sometimes restarted again to go completely back to normal. This only happens at work, and continues with all scripting turned off. I don't know if scripting played any role or not, but it can't be blamed solely. My home PC only did that to me once and I don't remember the conditions under which it happened. I do continue to have some Browse Mode issues in Firefox 3.5, but overall it's stable, if extremely slow at times. I blame that on a 6-year-old PC with too much installed on it. Both machines run XP Pro, but the work laptop is newer and thus a lot faster. They are similarly configured otherwise, except that the laptop is using Eloquence. Eloquence was too choppy on my home machine even after the upgrade to 7.1. After reading all the messages here I might try switching to dectalk. I don't really want to. Dectalk sounds like its mouth is full of peanut butter, particularly around certain B sounds.
With help from GW I was able to get them a crash report from the laptop, so hopefully that will provide a clue that will help everyone.
