Oh I know you're not saying that. The first computer I had was built for me. The dell I have now, at least I could give them specs instead of buying one completely ready.

Just that these tend to have more problems than well built generic machines, and there are shops in most towns that will build you computers and enough places to go get machines that one doesn't have to resort to the big one size fits all places more interested in promoting their bug ware than building you a good machine sometimes 'grin'. Places like Tiger direct, new-egg it doesn't matter as long as you know enough to stay away from proprietary hardware and software as much as you can try to stay with generic off the shelf stuff and not stuff made for a specific manufacturer.
