The most frequent lock-ups I get on Windows XP are in Office 2007 when I
send an e-mail when I have not done a spell check. The auto spell check
will kick in and WE locks up.

Also, while Aaron's suggestion are all well and good if there is a
constant issue most of the lock-ups cannot be replicated at will. They
are intermittent. It is not possible to work with the limits imposed
that Aaron's note suggest.

Regards, John.

WE 7.11 locks up on me every time in outlook 2007. Whenever a new
message
comes in automatically, and if I didn't use control+m to check for new
messages on my own, WE locks up. It just happened as I was typing this
email, and I have to attempt to launch nvda just to close outlook. I
better
hurry up and send this; otherwise, I'll have to start it all over again.

        I can tell you that most of the time when Window Eyes locks up
for
me, is when I put something on the clip board.

It would be helpful if we were able to duplicate any of these lock ups.
But
on up to seven different machines, varying in operating systems and
hardware, we're not experiencing any kind of lock ups. So you need to do
some investigation, including the following:

* Make sure all Microsoft updates have been installed
* Make sure all running software is at the latest version
* Turn off scripting
* Try switching synthesizers
* Disable Braille (if it's enabled)
* Go through MSCONFIG, and disable every application from starting
automatically, even Window-Eyes
* Ensure that you have the appropriate amount of disk space for virtual
memory
* Try defragging your drives
* Unplug any unused USB peripherals

See if doing any of those things makes any difference.

        Okay I don't know about anyone else but I am getting really sick
of
these lock ups that window-eyes is performing. What is going on. I am
trying
to get ready to go into finals and I can't even download a study guide
without window-eyes locking up. I am not liking this new window-eyes
7.11. I
hope GW-Micro is doing something about this because I need to get things
done quickly. It is already hard for us to do something that a person

cite can and we do not need it to be harder because our technology that
is
suppose to help is making it worse. Come on GW-Micro don't slack on us
