you're quite right Tiler. When I ordered from Dell, and when I ordered a Thinkpad from IBM, both times I had knowledgible people helping me. I'm much more inclined to say buy from a big name such as they are, because the support for fixed drivers, and related software, as well as sales, is better.
ibm gave you a piece of software they wrote, which automatically checked all your versions of drivers and software written by ibm for anything out of date, and if it found anything, it downloaded it and installed it. don't buy from some discount no-name brand, you won't get this kind of support. I was looking at computers, oh I think it was a month ago, and they didn't know squat. "Sir, I use a screen reader, and I need 32 bit windows 7. Which one of these is 32 bit?" "Well, I don't know." Well that's alot of help. So, see I'm just warning you folks to make sure you get someone to help you, who knows what the heck their talking about.
