I tend to agree. I have had times that trying to explain my issue in an email is, well, lacking on my part. If someone could link up and experience what it is that I am trying to explain it would take allot of misunderstanding out of the problem solving. I have one in particular at work that just boggles me to no end. and I can't seam to get WE to do what I want. The company bought Jaws because it appeared to work better in some places but in others it is totally lacking. I now have two screen readers and I still prefer WE in most cases, but it could do some things better.
I would definitely take advantage of some sort of WE Tandem type ability.
I can't help but believe that someone who knows more about WE and computers would know the answer to my problem and help me fixit, if they could only lay their hands and or ears on it. Smile

Subject: RE: Window-Eyes Should Have Something Like Jaws Tandom

Hi All:

I have not used Net Meeting for accessing another computer, but I agree Window-Eyes should have something like Tandem. As a major part of my job is to provide technical support to individuals with visual impairments, I can't tell you how much easier my job is when I work with someone using JAWS over Tandem. It is much faster for me to get on tandem, fix something, and move onto the next person. Yet, the person I'm helping not only can listen to what I'm doing, but at any point if they feel uncomfortable, they can break the connection. I say either develop a similar service for Window-Eyes, or, GW Micro should work to make something like Remote Assistant accessible with Window-Eyes from both ends of the connection. Right now, someone using Window-Eyes could send me a Remote Assistance invitation, but I cannot access their desktop using WE as it's just an image on screen.

Thanks,
