Never had these issues on any of my computers. I use the log off feature on my Desktop and then I put it in sleep mode. By the way the desktop is running XP, no brand name, had it custom build. On my HP notebook running Vista premium. I use sleep mode through out the day either by using the shut off feature, or by closing the lid. At the end of the day, I'll put it in Hibernation mode for the night. The only problem I have with window eyes is when I open windows mail. Ever since I bought this note book, every now and then I'll loose speech when I open windows mail. Alt F-4 to close windows mail, then speech comes back on it's own, then I unload window eyes, reload it, Windows key letter M to get focus back to the desk top, high light windows mail with space bar and hit enter and 95 percent of the time Windows mail will come up talking. Use to reboot the computer all the time, But, I found this worked.
