Thanks for that last tip.  Exploration proved rather revealing.  I didn't find
Bing, but I did find some other things, several in fact, from ASK.com which I've
never visited, and I wasn't aware of, and was at least able to disable them.
Now, how to I remove them, if I suspect they're being troublesome later on?

Go to tools in IE and open add ons, I removed bing from there.
