You are missing Microsoft Security Essential. That is, it will not bloat your system. Also, a back up of all your system and programs before any virus occur is a good Virus protection.

After installing Esset, I noticed my machine growing slower and more unstable. I installed it last week. I tried repairing it today, and problems still persisted, so I have uninstalled it completely for now. It was causing all my programs to hang. After I rebooted, the problems returned right away. I had difficulty getting on the internet as well as running MS Word, Outlook Express, etc. Window-Eyes wouldn't run properly, even after unloading it and restarting it again. After uninstallation, the computer is running normally, but I don't want to be unprotected for long. What am I missing? Thanks.
