This is unlikely, but easy to do, try turning off scripting to see what effect this has.
next, read up on msconfig, and see how to use it, so you can check to see what's being loaded when your pc starts up. it's a little hard to use task manager, but you could go to it's processes tab, change what's displayed so it's only the name and the cpu used, press alt-s in task manager so it includes system processes, then move your mouse pointer up to the top of the columns and click on cpu so it will sort by cpu usage. then you can go to the top or bottom of the list to see the processes using most of the cpu. if you aren't usually seeing system idle having say 80% most of the time, you do have something which needs attention. hth, Chip -----Original Message----- From: Brice Mijares [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, March 14, 2011 12:47 PM To: gw-info Subject: scripts Is there a script that list all the running programs that run in the background? Something is really slowing down my computer. At times I can type an entire sentence in windows mail before window eyes catches up. I know there is task manager, but how does one know what all these programs do? I've ran system mechanic, eset full system scan and windows Defender and nothing comes up as a virus or a threat. By the way, could it be the window eyes beta? My system started slowing down about the same time as I downloaded the beta and installed it.
