Do you have any antivirus packages running, and were they active during
the 7.5 install?

Hi List,
Recently I installed version 7.5, after happily running 6.1 for several
years.
So this is my first exposure to scripts/apps.
The 7.5 installation completed successfully, but when Window-eyes came
up speaking,
none of the 14 installed apps from the 7.5 installation would run.
Here's what trying to run the GetApp produced:
Just-In-Time Debugging
An exception "RunTime" error has occurred in script.
Possible Debuggers:
New instance of Microsoft Script editor
Set the currently selected debugger as the default.
Do you want to debug using the selected debugger?
After choosing "no", I then get:
AppGet.vbs - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Line 35 Column 17
ActiveX component can't create object

Attempts to run any of the apps produces something similar.
I'm running XP-Pro SP3 with all updates.
TIA for any ideas.
