Sandra,

If you have the Window-Eyes 7.5 CD, then you can do a fresh install once the current version is removed. You cannot downgrade back to 7.2 after 7.5 is installed unless you install 7.2 from its corresponding CD.

Steve

Wonder if my Norton 2006 interfeared with my instalation of 7.5. can I go back
to 7.2 and try installing again from the cd? I thought about doing that but
wasn't sure and didn't really trust myself. I was afraidI would miss something
so I upgraded mine from the internet.

Norton 2010 has been known to interfere with our Window-Eyes app support. To
resolve this issue, disable Norton, perform an emergency removal of
Window-Eyes, and re-install 7.5.

Steve

Hi Steve,
I'm running Norton 2010, and it was running during the install.

Do you have any antivirus packages running, and were they active
during the 7.5 install?

Steve

Hi List,
Recently I installed version 7.5, after happily running 6.1 for
several years.
So this is my first exposure to scripts/apps.
The 7.5 installation completed successfully, but when Window-eyes
came up speaking, none of the 14 installed apps from the 7.5
installation would run.
Here's what trying to run the GetApp produced:
Just-In-Time Debugging
An exception "RunTime" error has occurred in script.
Possible Debuggers:
New instance of Microsoft Script editor Set the currently selected
debugger as the default.
Do you want to debug using the selected debugger?
After choosing "no", I then get:
AppGet.vbs - Microsoft VBScript runtime error Line 35 Column 17
ActiveX component can't create object< 0x800A01AD> Attempts to run
any of the apps produces something similar.
I'm running XP-Pro SP3 with all updates.
TIA for any ideas.
