Here's what trying to run the GetApp produced:
Just-In-Time Debugging
An exception "RunTime" error has occurred in Script.
Possible Debuggers:
New instance of Microsoft Script editor
Set the currently selected debugger as the default.
Do you want to debug using the selected debugger?

After choosing "no", I then get:

AppGet.vbs - Microsoft VBScript runtime error
Line 35 Column 17
ActiveX component can't create object

< 0x800A01AD >

Pressing Control-C didn't copy any of the
Just-In-Time
error, but did capture the entire second part.

The next time you receive one of the app errors, press Control-C to copy it to the clipboard, and paste it into a reply so we can see it.

Thanks,
Steve

Do you have any development tools installed such as Visual Studio that
include application debuggers?

I got the
TheDllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.
but then starting any app still results in the debugger and Runtime
error messages.

TIA for anything else to try.

Open a command prompt as administrator, and run
regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
and let us know if that improves your situation.

Steve,
I did as you suggested, but without success.
I disabled all Norton 2010 components, performed the emergency
uninstall
and then reinstalled, but the result was the same, all apps failed as
soon as they were installed.

TIA for any additional suggestions.

Norton 2010 has been known to interfere with our Window-Eyes app
support. To resolve this issue, disable Norton, perform an emergency
removal of Window-Eyes, and re-install 7.5.

Steve

Hi Steve,
I'm running Norton 2010, and it was running during the install.

Do you have any antivirus packages running, and were they active
during the 7.5 install?

Steve

Hi List,
Recently I installed version 7.5, after happily running 6.1 for
several
years.
So this is my first exposure to scripts/apps.
The 7.5 installation completed successfully, but when Window-eyes
came
up speaking,
none of the 14 installed apps from the 7.5 installation would run.
Here's what trying to run the GetApp produced:

Attempts to run any of the apps produces something similar.
I'm running XP-Pro SP3 with all updates.
TIA for any ideas.
