do you have windows set to go into sleep mode when not in use? this could be the problem. i stopped useing automatic sleep mode after x number of minutes or hours because many times when i started useing the computer again the driver for the sound card was not reloading and i too would not have any windows or w e sound until i rebooted the computer. ----- Original Message ----- From: tony c To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, June 23, 2011 4:49 PM Subject: windows 7 and loosing sound Hi Guys, A couple of days ago there was a discussion on this list about WE and loosing sound. I’ve noticed that when it happens on my system which is usually after it has been sitting idle for a while. That at least on my machine the only way to get it back is to restart, not only does WE stop speaking but the windows sounds stop also. I have updated all my drivers but it does still happen from time to time. This is not a WE problem.
