There is a "kill WE script" wich shut down Window Eyes. Then you press Ctrl - Alt + W to start WE again. I believe it is a default hot key Ctr - Alt + K. Where K is K for "Kill". It works getting the sound of Window Eyes back, but in my case it does not help when WE do not announce the start menu applications and desktop icons. In this case, I have to reboot too.
I got this script from the Norwegian distributor. Don`t now if it is a regular script from app central.
