I do not currently have a microphone for this computer. It's on the
Christmas list. smile Anyway, earlier this summer I tried using the
official Skype client on a Windows 7 machine, and noticed that all other
sounds were turned down to such a level that they could barely be heard
and not understood. As soon as I'm able to get a microphone for this
machine, I intend to download GWSkype, so I'm very interested in the
rest of this conversation and any fixes.

couple of calls using it with Window-Eyes, I couldn't get audio output
either. I turned off the speech settings with no joy. I then ran the
free screen reader and all is well again.

starters it works very well. I do however feel that the more bugs we
report, the better. Also to the GW Micro community, I have spread the

Could you perhaps allow GW Skype to use the screen reader's own API,

support. Whenever I try to make and receive a call, SAPI blocks all

of any other events, like incoming calls or chats.
