All,
Please do the following to fix any sound issues relating to Skype. This is on 
Windows Vista and above.
1. Open the Sound multipage dialogue box.
2. Ctrl-tab to the communications page.
3. In the group of radio buttons, select, "do nothing".
4. Click ok.
What this does is prevent programs that communicate via audio, such as Skype, 
from adjusting audio output from other programs, including screen readers using 
software speech, Window-Eyes included.
