I too have had this, and never found any permanent solution (although I thought 
7.5.4.1 was better about not doing this).  I think I usually restarted outlook 
to clear it, and that wasn't too bad to do.

You could also try a new app named "speak clipboard functions"  by Kevin Huber; 
it gives you hotkeys for copy, cut, and paste, and when it executes them it 
speaks the text which was transferred to the clipboard.  You could use its 
"copy" hotkey to copy the text of a message body to the clipboard, and it 
should read it aloud at the same time.
