Hi:
Gmail is accesible in a number of ways.
First, probably the best Web experience is to use what they call the
"Basic html" interface.
Also, you can turn on pop and imap access and use Outlook Express,
Outlook, as well as the mail program in Windows Live Essentials.
Gmail sees to work ok with IMAP, since you can have multiple folders
and access them with some or maybe all of these programs.
You tuen on POP and IMAP access in GMail's settings. You may need a
little help on the settings page, bu, once you turn on that setting,
you should never have to fool with it again.
A lot of us use GMail.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
I am in need of advice regarding the accessibility of Google Mail.
My university now uses gmail and at work I have the mail downloaded
to Outlook which works although I find it problematic occasionally.
However, there are times when traveling, or as this week, when I had
to give up my computer because of painting in my office and had to
use the web version of Gmail. I used the basic HTML version as
suggested by Google which is somewhat more accessible than the
standard version and I can read mail OK although I think it rather
clunky but responding to messages and writing notes is difficult. I
can't find the edit field when replying so I can't find where to
place my text. Also when composing a note there is no spell checker
that I can find for the basic HTML version and I am a terrible
speller so spell checkers are essential for work mail. Does Google
have a more accessible version of the web mail or are we stuck? Any
advice will be much appreciated since the last couple off days have
been frustrating.
Thanks,
Bob Martin
