Well this begs the question...? Which one is preferred by WE? I have the old version and it has DECtalk . I don't like it. I prefer to use Elequence Read but.. I some how lost it when playing around with Sapi Read. I can't figure how to get Elequence back. I have asked the list but no one has a real good answer. I didn't unload it. I still see it in my add remove programs. I was playing around before the Beta cycles. What is so wonderful about the new" Vocalizer " voices? Which one is going to be the WE favorite. Alot of times the question is Which Synth are you using? Which Synth is the Default for WE since DECtalk is not default sending with new copies?
Are the Vocalizer voices better than DECtalk? Only brand new purchases of Window-Eyes will have Vocalizer. Note pre 8, all copies had DECtalk and no Vocalizer. With version 8, all copies come with Vocalizer and no DECtalk. So new 8.0 users can purchase DECtalk and old Window-Eyes uses can purchase Vocalizer. Note the Vocalizer/DECtalk web page will be available in the next day or two.
