I get the exact same thing with the same setup. Aaron at GW says he can't duplicate however I find sometimes when he says that he hasn't tested with the same setup as you have reported.

Ok, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem or if I will
only hear that it works fines on everybody else's system running the
same configuration, or if there is some sort of accessibility issue
here. Running IE 10 (which is still the preview) on Windows 7 64 bit,
when I go to the gwmicro.com/voices page and try to select the combo
boxes such as for language, I can not get WindowEyes to read the
selections in those combo boxes. I am running the release of WE 8.
After I hit enter on a combo box and then hit alt down arrow to expand
it, the most I can ever get it to say is 1 of 39 or whatever number.
It absolutely will not under any circumstances I have been able to
imagine and try read the selections in any of them. Combo boxes on
other pages elsewhere do work. The only thing I can get to read them
is NVDA. SystemAccess will not either. I tried rebooting several times
and starting fresh and no joy. Any ideas? Am I just plagued with a
system that for some reason won't do what it should?

mmmmm, food samples. mmmm, sams club. did you say food samples?

Hi Kim, it would be kind of unfair for GW Micro to make you use an
authorization just to listen to samples. That's like going to Sam's
Club when they have those samples of food displayed all over the store
and them making you purchase the actual food item before you can
sample it. So, that would be a tad backwards. In short, you only need
your personalized authorization if you have purchased the voices. You
can listen to the voice samples all you want.

I looked at these voices today on the web site. I saw something about a
"synthesizer authorization button". Do you have to download one of
those for the sample voices, and another one for the actual voices
themselves?
