Hi Brenda,

First, route the mouse pointer to the top left of the Thunderbird window with Numpad-7. Then, press Numpad-2 repeatedly in order to move the mouse pointer down the window until you hear the column headers like Subject, From, Date, etc. Then, press Numpad-Insert-6 until you are on one of the colum headers; it doesn't matter which. Next, press Numpad-star to right-click the colum header; this brings up a context menu Press the normal down arrow key repeatedly until you hear the item called Read; this is the Read/Unread message flag, and must be set to checked; if it is not checked, press Enter to check it; this will close the context menu Now, when you highlight a message in the message list, you will hear the word Unread if the message is unread, and nothing if it is already read.

hth,

Rod

Hello all,

A couple things with Thunderbird 24 and Window-Eyes 8.4 Demo. First off,
after you read a message, we cannot hit escape and get out of it. We have to
hit CTRL-w to get out.

Second, none of my graphics read, so I canot tell if something has been
sent, replied to, or read. Not sure if I label the graphics, if that will
help.

Running a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system with Window-Eyes 8.4 demo.
I'm running the Thunderbird Enhanced App, Version 1.61, I believe it is--at
any rate, I'm trying to say that I'm running the latest one. Any help will
be appreciated here.

Thanks in advance,

Brenda
