10.6. I haven't upgraded to 10.7. I also have Duxbury in my
BrailleNote
mPower. Neither of those versions will automatically translate
computereze
into Computer Braille Code or ASCII braille. You must put the codes in
manually.
The underscore sign in ASCII braille and CBC is only dots 4,5,6. Except
for
the BrailleSense Plus, Duxbury does NOT use a 3-cell sign for
underscore. I
downloaded one of those reference cards from National Braille Press for
CBC,
and the card says the underscore sign is dots 4,5,6, not dots 4,
456,456.
I realize symbols can change, so perhaps the latest version of Duxbury
changed the underscore sign. I know that every now and then BANA
changes
symbols.
I might add that for years many people have used the "quick and dirty"
way
to transcribe braille italics by pressing the shift hyphen which will
produce dots 4,6 when translated into contracted braille. My PC and BN
will
do this, but the BrailleSense does not.
That's why I said in another post that the BrailleSense's version of
Duxbury
is different because the program was implemented differently.
