Hello, I've seen extra dots here and there, and I've always found that I really did hit those extra keys or pounded on the keys too hard. MANY of us have used mechanical Braille writsers for so many years that we tend to pound on our note takers.
It is better for your fingers not to pound on these keys. You'll probably slowy your Brailling speed down because you're not used to using a light touch. Your hardware like last longer by pressing the keys more lightly. I hope this helps.
