Yes, you want to have the 3 files in the root directory of your storage card. Actually, there are 4 files inside the zip file, but one of them is a .txt file describing the changes in release 5.5.

Just put the files in the root folder of the card, put the card back into the braillesense and then begin the upgrade process being sure to select off-line instead of online when you get to that point.

I usually unzip to a location on the c drive, but you could certainly unzip directly to the cf card in the reader if you like. Just be sure they're in the root directory of the card. Otherwise the sense won't find them.

One other really dumb question.

If I connect my compact reader to my PC having loaded the update program
onto my C drive how do I direct the unzipping process to the compact
flash card root directory which will probably be the e drive in my case.
