Donna, I use a Voice Sense that was bought back in April of 2008, and I upgraded it last Thursday evening.
It is a very nice little unit, and I am finding it very easy to use. I have a three year old BrailleNote mPower as well. One thing that I truly enjoy about the Voice Sense over the BrailleNote is the instant response you get with commands in the email program. For instance, when you wish to send a reply to a message, all you have to do is hit space-s to send and it is done immediately instead of waiting till you are through with all the messages in your InBox. Forward, reply, and reply to all, also, work the same way as the send command, too. It's nice to be able to get an instant response to those commands. I find that I get so impatient when I want to use email on my BrailleNote after getting used to the way Voice Sense does the commands. smile. Also, I love the size of the Voice Sense compared to the BrailleNote products. Mind you, I still love my mpower, but the size of the Voice Sense gives me the portability for traveling that I love to have. It takes up very little room in my backpack, or my purse, which the mpower can't do. Also, the key lock feature on the Sense products is very nice to keep you from pushing critical buttons while your unit is stuffed in something. Hope you enjoy either unit you choose to use.
