Hi Sunshine,

Quite frankly, I really think you need to have a serious talk with gw. I don't know why these sorts of things always hapen during convention times when staffing is light due to having to handle exhibit booths and stuff, but it must be a law of nature or something.

Anyway, I believe Raul is supposed to be back this next week and maybe he can give you some good direction.

As for some extreme suggestions, remember one very important thing. Many are coming from a person who doesn't even own or use a sense notetaker. A manual is helpful, but they're prone to errors just like everything else. There's no substitute for working with people who actually know the day-to-day working of your unit based on personal experience rather than some abstract theory.

That ttechnical business may sound impressive, but it can also result in incorrect or wrong information from those who don't know or use the units.

Something significant is definitel going on with your unit and you need real hands-on expertise in determining what you need to do.

I've been there and I know just how frustrating your situation can be.

This probably isn't of much real help either, but hopefully it can help until gw is really back in focus with the list.

Don

Hi,
This sort of thing will not be fixed by servicing it since it's a software
problem. From what I can gather, it sounds like a RAM management problem -
perhaps with corrupt memory locations. Try reflashing the 5.5 ROM image and
see if this fixes it — hopefully the corrupt memory locations might be
reinitialized.
Cheers,
Joseph

I errased those files and they didn't do anything for my inbox! Lol! It'll
have to go in and be serviced, I'm afraid!

Steve:

Dunno about the temp files from the web browser. But for the mailinfo.txt
files, you use the File Manager to go to the email folder and if you have
any folders of messsages you'd previously saved (before the upgrade) as I
did, you then go into that folder and that's where you'll find the
mailinfo.txt file. You then just point to that file and hit Space-D as you

would to delete any other file.

Mike,

How do you delete mailinfo.txt files? And how do you clear temp files
from
your web browser?
Thx
Steve

As is mine.

Those having problems might want to completely reinitialize their
systems
to

factory defaults and delete any mailinfo.txt files in their mail folders

so
that they're regenerated.

Hi All,
I've noticed that my VS crashes consistently about every other day
since
I updated to 5.5. Has anyone else experienced an uptick in crashes
with
the new firmware? Most annoying.
Steve
