This version causes Insert-Right Arrow and Insert-Left Arrow to read by word in the Focus and Browse modes. Also, the script now configures Homer as a layout option in the Window-Eyes Control Panel. A summary is below.
Jamal Homer Layout is intended for screen reader users who anticipate using both Window-Eyes and JAWS on a regular basis, depending on the situation, and would like a consistent keyboard interface between them. The current layout draws heavily from JAWS, though is not identical to it.The Homer interface uses two modes of operation, defined by whether the focus cursor or mouse pointer is active. The layout is intended for a desktop computer with a full numeric keypad (Numpad). The same keys for navigation and reading are used in each mode, relative to the active cursor. The help dialog lists present key assignments in the default web browser. This script is not associated automatically, since it changes the default keyboard layout considerably. Load HomerLayout.vbs as a global script, and choose Homer as the layout to use from the Keyboard menu of the Window-Eyes Control Panel. Vista Users may not find this option configured, so should use the Text2Set utility instead, specifying Homer.t00 as the source and *.0* as the target.
