Your tires are probably 700x23mm. That means your tire is 23mm wide. Jeff says
that a 25mm or 28mm wide tire will work. A 25/28c (centimeter) tire wold be
pretty wide - about 10 - 11 inches.

Jeff
I’m not quite sure what that means. I just have my trek 5200 OCLV with the
regular road tires which I doubt would work in umstead but if I’m wrong let me
know.

Thanks

You really don't need more than about a 25/28c tire to ride umstead if you stay
off cedar ridge.

if you have the time, a mountain bike, and some wet weather gear
Umstead is the perfect place to ride . . we froze our hands and feet
off but other than that we had a great ride.
