I will lead the same route/same place/same time but at a 17-18 pace!

I hope a few of you will join me! Please see Bert's post for a liability

> 9:00am start time. With the temps being a little cooler lets make it a
> shorter route than from last weekend. Let's plan on doing Range Route II,
> but we will be leaving from Ravenstone Plaza Shopping Center which will
> make the route ~60 miles. The specs are below.

> THE PLAN:
> One or more groups will leave with the intent of riding as a group at a
> target pace. We will try to cover the same routes, albeit a shorter
> distance for the slower group, so if you're struggling or want to ride at
> an easier pace, you can move back to a slower group. If you're already in
> the slowest group, the ride leader will check to make sure you can make
> your way back alone or with another volunteer. You'll know within the
> first 7 miles whether or not you're strong enough to maintain the pace.
> The general rule is that you should be able to maintain at least a 19+mph
> pace for the A Group, 18mph pace for 40-50 miles with the B+ Group or a
> 16mph pace for 30-40 miles with the B Group, when considering which group
> to ride with. If you can not maintain these paces, then it is suggested
> that you consider the C/B- Sunday ride. (Please refer to the link above).
>
> Each group should make a concerted effort to keep the group together but
> there will always be those who want to pick up the pace on the return. It
> is more appropriate to do this the last 5-7 miles of a ride. The short
> hammer sessions, that are always inevitable during our rides, will not be
> affected.
