It's nice to see so many familiar names popping up again!
I can't remember the last time I sewed a historic garment; all my
costume-related work for years has been in research, lecturing, and editing
other people's work for publication.
Apropos of that, however, if you're in Madison, Wisconsin, a week from
tomorrow (May 4), you can hear me speak, along with my colleague Gale
Owen-Crocker from England:

Four lectures in one day, covering Anglo-Saxon dress, case studies of
surviving headgear, 15th-century women's gowns, and the Elizabethan farthingale.
The day before, Gale is speaking on the Bayeux Tapestry in at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison, 3pm on Friday, May 3. If you're interested, email me for
details. It's free and open to the public.
And this coming Wednesday, Gale is speaking on the Bayeux Tapestry at the
Missouri History Museum in St. Louis:

If by chance anyone on this list shows up at any of these events, please find
me and tell me who you are! I'm easy to spot; I'll be assisting Gale.
