However, it turned out to be a spun silk rather than a reeled silk (though
the appearance was quite smooth and lustrous, more than you'd expect from
a spun silk). As a result it wore badly in areas that got a lot of
rubbing, such as under the arms. I replaced it a few years ago with a red
wool dress lined with linen.
