Hi,
Unfortunately i dont think any of such books excists. There only are books
with pattern drafts and they are allready construkted.
Its rather funny because most of us here ( i think) are happyer with draping
on dress stands, than construkting paper patterns.
But there are many books with costume pattern drafts, Norah Waugh "The cut
of womens clothes 1600 - 1930 and the cut of mens clothes two. Then there is
Corsets and Crinolines. Jean Hunniset has made some nice pattern books two,
and Janet Arnold off cause...........

Subject: [h-cost] book on drafting h-costumes
Hi all,
Does anyone know a good book on drafting patterns for historical
costumes? I mean drafting custom patterns, like tailors do. I've been
searching for some such books on amazon.com, but I haven't found anything
promising. Since I can't look inside the book, I never know whether it's a
"tailor - drafting" book or not.
P.S.: I'd welcome periods from the middle ages to the turn of the century
(19/20)
Zuzana
