Bjarne, I have lurked here for a while and I have been greatly admiring your work. I am new to re-enacting myself but not new to the situation you describe. I would advise you to not make any long term decision about your costumes when you feel like this...speaking from experience if you get rid of everything now while you are feeling really upset you may come to regret it later. As someone else suggested packing everything away for a while or loaning it out so that you still have it but don't have to think about it or have it staring at you all the time. Then when you are feeling better you can make long term decisions about your wonderful costumes. You sound like you really need a break to get your head together...I seem to remember that you had surgery a short while ago...this feeling could be a side effect. You are such a talented person and burn out can happen, but it would be sad if you just walked away from all your hard work. Give your self time to look around and reassess what you want to do, maybe go in a different direction or do something totally unrelated for a while. You may come back to your costuming again or you may not but don't make hasty decisions when you are feeling bad. Sue in Cold and frosty Canberra Australia.
