This was actually addressed by the manufacturer when invisible zippers first came out, in the early 1970s, as the zippers came in a limited range of colors. I tried a little cloth bag--wasn't real happy with the results, though, but then I wasn't as skilled in those days. You might have good success with that. Or, can you see any way to cover it with buttonhole stitches? My memory is that the pull is long and slender, so that MIGHT work.
