You obviously missed my point, or do not understand the reasoning
behind default link styling.  There are many that argue that you
should not change the link style, that it's a per user decision that
can be defined in the browser.  Bright blue wouldn't do someone color
blind any good, that's why links are styled with an underline in the
first place.  However, this "accessibility" concern is often over
looked or ignored in most web design for aesthetic purposes.  Some
will choose another non-color method to discern links, others will
decide that the audience who are color blind is negligible and ignore
them completely.

That said, my point wasn't to take the discussion off topic, or argue
for bright blue links, or to change links in admin at all.  My point
is that the precedent was set to ignore basic accessibility standards
for the sake of aesthetics, so to use that argument for buttons seems
disingenuous.  If someone was arguing for a complete adherence to
accessibility standards across the board, it would a different
discussion, for instance, not using fixed pixel font sizes, but again,
I digress…
