I agree completely. Auto-complete helps in some circumstances, but doesn't
help jog my memory if I don't remember similar tags I may have used in the
past.

I don't know what Owen may have in mind for the new taxonomy system, so I'll
hold off looking at caching for the tags pane until we get the new system in
place.
